Vox Hunt: My Favorite Artist

Show us your favorite artist.

I studied Flamenco dance for 8 years and I always admired his technique. When I saw him perform live a few years ago I was stunned; he is so passionate and original in his dance. Joaquin Cortes really is an amazing dancer!

That's really cool that you studied Flemenco dance for so long. I tend to be a ballet snob and don't like to try any new form of dance, but I'd really like to branch out. Not sure if I could do Flemenco though...

Why dont you give it a shot? You might find some elements in Flamenco that could actually benefit you ballet... And it's always interesting to try different styles of dancing. In fact, I used to only do Flamenco but then I started studying latin & ballroom dancing. In the end I got a teaching degree in latin from IDTA!

PS I think the arm positions in Flamenco and ballet are similar if not identical, so you are already one step in!
